Corners
Place corner tiles (those with two adjacent active edges only) in corner slots (those with only two adjacent free edges).
Note: Blank tiles also fit in corners, but they are rare.
Full tiles
It can often help to place full tiles (those with all 6 active edges) on the board first as the number of slots they can fit into will be limited. In this example there is actually only one valid slot where this tile can be placed.
Skins
Try a different skin, it may give you some insight.
Hints
Don’t be afraid to get a hint if you are struggling on a particular board (especially on hard mode).
Note: Once you’ve used a hint on a puzzle you can use it again to return you to the hint state without further reduction to rewards (if you lose track of which tiles were placed by the hint and which you placed yourself).
Bonus Tiles
When the Bonus Tile Space is full tiles are discarded from the top right slot and tiles shifted right so that new tiles are placed at the top left. Place tiles you want to keep on the bottom row as they are safe from being discarded.
